Irish Heritage
Complete website redesign | 10 hours charged | Built by a developer
I was approached by Tom to design a website for Irish Heritage, with the aim of highlighting the richness and diversity of Irish cultural heritage and introducing it to a wider audience.
The goal was to create a platform that felt welcoming, accessible, and easy to navigate, allowing visitors to quickly connect with the organisation’s mission and activities.
The brief emphasised simplicity in the visual design due to limited development time, so I focused on clean layouts and intuitive structure. The site needed to communicate a broad range of information—including news updates, upcoming events, artist profiles and details on bursaries—so careful attention was given to organising these elements in a way that remained clear and engaging.
What I did
I created a strong theme that was used consistently across the site.
I created template pages that could be reused, for example, pages to showcase each musician.
The previous website had a lot of long paragraphs of text - the challenge was to break up this information into more digestible pieces.
The developer was very happy with the outcome, and said I had made it super easy to implement, by creating a design library of assets that could be used universally.
